Liverpool Music Scene

Image
Liverpool's music scene has been booming since the 1960s. We focus here on what is entirely new to our ears.  AYSTAR Well, for starters - all shades of greyish in the shady neighbourhoods of Liverpool, Wavertree or Toxteth. One-man project. Something very far from my musical perception, as from here to Madagascar. Get ready for mixes, re-mixes, hip-hop-rap rhythms and rhymes. Honestly, the only thing we can say about Aystar is that it sounds quite original in its entirety. The specific, Scouse accent in the rap lines is quite exceptional.  Nothing else, the rest is a template and a cliché, on one hand - poor, dirty streets, on the other - leather, drugs, pit bulls, expensive cars, blah blah blah ... Who cares for shopping in such a weather? This autumn is quite anti-shopping. The Waterfront   is always a place to find your own bliss. And for this reason, Liverpool - as any other port  in the world - has a huge advance to any inland city. No questions. Albert Dock , part of Liverpool Waterfront, can be distinctively quiet and majestic.  Liverpool Ca

"What do we want?! People's Vote! When do we want it?! NOW!" - this was the call-out of the People's Vote march in Liverpool in September 2018. It has been organised on the fringe of Labour party conference taking place in the waterfront venue. The demand was to support a second public vote on the final Brexit deal .
